Superstar cricketers keen as ever

It was the second official night of Superstar Cricket and despite blustery conditions, it was a great atmosphere.

The next generation of Hazeldine helpers was on the barbecue – their parents Kate and Craig have been long-time BCCC volunteer coaches, scorers and managers and it was so good to see they have trained up the boys well!

It was great to have the barbie and a mobile tuckshop on the bottom field, that’s for sure.

Superstar cricket ambassador Elliott Molesworth and his daughter Cecelia were again out helping along with all the fabulous coaches. There was fun, competition, laughter… the occasional round of tears followed by stoic returns to the crease.

On the sideline the scorers probably froze half to death at times, but don’t worry … it WILL get warmer.
For those supporters new to Friday night cricket, feel free to pack a picnic or order a pizza and make a great family evening of it.

We must make mention also of how fantastic the Superstar Cricketers Birkenhead New World/Cricket Express T-shirts look! If you haven’t got yours yet, please contact Sabina Croll – look the part, feel the part, play the part! T-shirts and BCCC caps are the cricket uniform and white shorts make the kids feel like real cricketers too.

Here’s some photos from the night. If there are any parent photographers in our midst, feel free to send pictures each week to denisemontgomery.cricket@gmail.com.
