Have-a-Go Evans season wrap 2014-2015
Aaron Croll, coach of HAG Evans, got a bit emotional when thinking about his team and their efforts this season.
Here’s what he wrote – we’re sure it all means something to the players and parents!
Everybody, heads up high. Let’s talk cricket. There was real pride in your effort. In every match. The whole season. We completed each ball, each run. That’s you. Each one of you boys. You had all your parents jumping, me jumping. You know why? You are a TEAM. A cricket team who don’t quit and play the game the right way.
I am proud of you boys. There’s no more cricket until next season but we’re a team together and friends forever. I can’t wait to coach again next season.
So parents give yourselves a pat. Your kids are proud of you, I’m thankful to you. We are Evans. Let’s celebrate.
Felix Hyde: The fallen angel loop.
Lachlan Carey: Three balls left in the match and a hat trick taken. Then Lachlan got carried off by his team mates.
Miles Ballard: Got hit for a 6. But then went fast and straight and bowled him out next ball.
Ben Huntington: Didn’t give up on his spin, he got his wicket and then said “told you Dad”.
Liam Hines: Superb outswing bowling (when not spin obsessed)
Joe Croll: Diving in the field and poise at the crease.
Noah Blandford: Taking it to the older boys in our first match
Ryan Corner: Taking off with bat and ball.
Brodie Munroe: Catch of the season again.
Connor Hines: Pure enthusiasm and joy for the game.
